The Shah Syed Rashid Ali Foundation has extended a helping hand to Mannan Miah, a cancer patient from Dori Tājpur village in the Tīlāgāon Union of Kulaura Upazila. As part of its humanitarian efforts, the foundation provided financial assistance to him.
The assistance was handed over at Mannan Miah’s residence on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) at 9 PM. Present at the occasion were notable figures including Muktadir Hossain, advisor to the Shah Syed Rashid Ali Foundation, former president of the Kulaura Upazila Journalists’ Association, and senior journalist; Rubel Box Pavel, Kulaura correspondent for the daily Bhorer Pata; Shamshu Uddin Babu, editor of Channel Kulaura; Ruhul Amin, Kulaura correspondent for the daily Jababdihi; Jamal Hossain Tarek, director of Junction Kulaura; and Ahmed Akhtar Rana, director of View Kulaura, along with other local dignitaries.
Mannan Miah has been suffering from cancer for a long time. As the son of a day laborer, his family is struggling to bear the high cost of his treatment. The financial aid from the Shah Syed Rashid Ali Foundation has come as a ray of hope for the family during this difficult time.
The foundation stated that its primary goal is to alleviate the suffering of the helpless and impoverished by providing food, education, and medical support. The organization has previously assisted numerous needy families in Kulaura and surrounding areas.
Mannan Miah and his family expressed their profound gratitude to the foundation and prayed for the continuation of its benevolent activities in the future.
