Police have arrested Abul Hasnat Rubab (40), a member of ward no. 7 of Kulaura Sadar Union Parishad, in connection with multiple arrest warrants. He is the son of Kabir Chowdhury from Korer village in Kulaura Sadar Union.
According to police sources, Rubab was wanted in several cases, including one related to an attack on anti-discrimination students. Acting on the instructions of Kulaura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Omar Faruk, he was taken into custody.
On Wednesday afternoon, a police team led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Forhad Matubber, assisted by ASI Abdur Rahim, ASI Abdul Khalek, and ASI Tofayel Ahmed, conducted a raid in the Jonota Bazar area and arrested Rubab.
OC Md. Omar Faruk confirmed the arrest, stating that Rubab faces multiple arrest warrants, including the case involving the attack on anti-discrimination students. Legal action will be taken in accordance with due process.
