A New Chapter of Development in Kulaura
In the remote regions of Kulaura, a new picture of development is emerging—especially for women. Those who were once confined to household duties are now self-reliant, engaging in farming, poultry rearing, vegetable cultivation, and farm management.
At the core of this transformation is the “Small Connections Joint Project for Poverty Alleviation”, implemented by the Small Farmer Development Foundation (SFDF) and operated under the Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Planning Ministry.
Economic Empowerment with More than Just Loans

Total loan amount disbursed is BDT 2,009,465
Many now earn BDT 40,000–50,000 monthly
